If you listen too much to what people say about you, you will never be who you really are.

| self respect, do you own it? i thought i did. then when i took a look back i really didnt. i let people walk all over me then got mad at them. however i never said anything back at them to let them know i was. i bottled all these emotions deep inside and kept being friends with them. no matter WHAT they did to me. i blamed it on wanting to keep their friendship, but this wasnt true. i just didnt have the balls to stick up for myself. i didnt think i was worth it. i DESERVE BETTER FOR MYSELF i deserve people that actually care and respect me. goodbye to the old, hello to the new. | to love yourself.
it shouldn't be such a hard concept to grasp. right? but there are so many aspects of ourselves that there are to grasp. we have our body image firstly, then there is who we are as a person, then of course there is how other people perceive us.
we cannot control what other people think of us, but we can control what we think of ourselves. or can we? when does the boundary between what other people think of us and how we perceive ourselves collide? most times it is hard to forget about things that we cant control. so much that we focus so much on the things we believe we can control. such as our bodies, maybe even our thoughts. we are who we are.
this is beautiful. we are who we are for a reason. do not fight this. we are not our faces. we are our thoughts, our ideas, and our goals. do not let these things go unnoticed just because of outward appearances. the outside should not be your main priority. we all get old, looks fade. do not get so hung up on something that is so fleeting, or else you will not know how to live without your looks once they have faded.
happiness will not come from what you see in a mirror, it comes from within. from who accepting who you are, and fighting the urge to want to change this. love the little things in life. we all deserve happiness, every single one of us. its just up to you to find it. and i hope you will, i really do.

i have wanted pink lipstick for a while!! oh and i am toying with the idea of cutting my hair just past my shoulders.. right now it is way below the boobage area. im nervousss!
this is sorta what i wantt!!
ps my hair has been greasy lately :S tips from lovelyish
Before you take a shower, get out baking soda. Yes, baking soda! It's seriously the save for everything.
1. Get about a spoon's worth and put it in your hand, and take it in with you in the shower.
2. Take your shampoo and pour a normal amount into the baking soda and mix it with your finger. Then put it in your hair just like you would normally shampoo your hair.
After a few days of doing this, your hair will be a lot less greasy. I still do it during every shower because if I stop my hair will go back to being an oily mess.
you can actually make slept-on hair look good...
Start by shampooing before bed, and then try one of these tricks: 1. Waves: Apply a styling cream from roots to tips. Comb your hair into a tight bun at the nape of your neck, and secure it with an elastic. When you wake up, remove the elastic and run your fingers through to separate the waves. 2. Beachy Texture: Work a product like styling lotion through your hair from roots to ends. Part your hair down the centre, and create two loose braids starting above your ears. In the morning, undo the braids, and spray in some texturiser. If your hair is still a bit damp, throw your head upside down and dry it with a diffuser. 3. Silky Smooth: Towel dry your hair to remove excess moisture, then comb it through and apply a de-frizzing cream. The next morning, clip your hair up into sections and flat iron one at a time to remove any kinks or ridges. Finish with a shine spray.

"There are many who are living far below their possibilities because they are continually handing over their individualities to others. Do you want to be a power in the world? Then be yourself. Be true to the highest within your soul and then allow yourself to be governed by no customs or conventionalities or arbitrary man-made rules that are not founded on principle." Ralph Waldo Emerson
